Privacy Policy
How CPV Technologies handles information when you visit cpvtechnologies.com, use our free online tools, or contact us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use cpvtechnologies.com (the “Site”), and how it is used. By using the Site you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by CPV Technologies, an independent technology company founded by C Panneer Vignesh, based in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. We build websites, mobile apps and software, and publish free software and free browser-based online tools. Our postal address is Pillaiyar Koil Street, Thottapalayam, Vellore, Tamil Nadu – 632004, India. You can also reach us at info@cpvtechnologies.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, call us, message us on WhatsApp or ask about a project, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you and to deliver the work you ask for.
The enquiry form on our home page does not send your details to our servers. It prepares a WhatsApp message that you review and decide to send yourself.
Information collected automatically
Our Site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Like almost every web host, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical data when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
3. Online tools and your files
Our free online tools (image, PDF, QR, text and calculator tools) work inside your own browser. Files, images, PDFs and text you select or type are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. We cannot see them and we do not store them. Closing the page discards them.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
At the time of writing, the Site does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. If we show ads in future, the advertising partner described below may use cookies, as explained in section 5.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may display advertisements on the Site through Google AdSense. If ads are shown:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a consent management banner before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used.
To learn how Google uses data when you use our Site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not control the cookies set by third parties and do not receive your personal data from them.
6. Third-party services
- Google Fonts — the Site loads fonts from Google, so your IP address is sent to Google’s servers when a page loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — when you tap a WhatsApp button, you leave our Site and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies.
- GitHub — some free software downloads are hosted on GitHub Releases, which may log your download under its own policy.
- Google Play and other external links — links to other sites are outside our control; please read their privacy policies.
7. How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site and our free tools.
- To comply with legal obligations.
- To show relevant advertising, where ads are enabled (see section 5).
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email support@cpvtechnologies.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security and retention
The Site is served over HTTPS and protected with security headers and a strict content security policy. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry or project, and any records we are legally required to keep.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
