Case Converter: how to use it
Change text between UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case and aLtErNaTiNg case in one click, with tips on when each style fits.
Retyping a heading because it was pasted in capitals, or fixing a spreadsheet column that came out in mixed case, is tedious. The Case Converter changes the whole text instantly with one of five styles, and you can switch between them as often as you like.
It works on the text you paste and leaves the original in the box, so you can try several styles and keep the one you prefer.

Tips for better results
- Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and lowercases the rest. It is the best choice for rescuing text that was typed in capitals.
- Title Case capitalises every main word. Style guides differ on small words such as of, and, the, so check headings against the guide you follow.
- Names, acronyms and brand spellings may need a manual touch afterwards, for example McDonald or NASA.
- UPPERCASE is hard to read in long passages. Use it for short labels and warnings only.
Which case for which job?
