Image to PDF: how to use it
Combine one or more photos or scans into a single PDF in your browser. Choose A4, Letter or A3, portrait or landscape, and set the page order.
Applications, claims and assignments often ask for a single PDF, while your documents are a pile of photos taken on a phone. The Image to PDF tool places each image on its own page and creates one PDF file, without uploading anything.
It is ideal for turning scanned pages, ID card photos, receipts and handwritten notes into a tidy document you can email or upload.
How to use the Image to PDF
- Select your images. You can choose several at once; they are added in the order you selected them.
- Choose a Page size: A4, Letter or A3.
- Choose Orientation: Portrait for upright documents, Landscape for wide ones.
- Press Create PDF. Each image becomes one page, scaled to fit.
- Press Download result to save the PDF.
Tips for better results
- Select images in the final reading order. If the order is wrong, run the tool again with a different selection order.
- Photograph documents flat, straight and in daylight. Crop away background first with the Image Cropper.
- Large phone photos make large PDFs. Compress or resize them first if a portal limits the size.
- Use A4 for most of the world and Letter for the United States and Canada.
Making the PDF smaller
A PDF made from photos is mainly the size of those photos. If the file is too heavy, reduce each image with the Image Compressor before creating the PDF; that is more effective than any later step.
